At Secure It All we design and install all types of electronic access control from single-door to PC based multi-door installations for large office blocks and sites.
The more sophisticated systems not only prevent unauthorised external access but can also, using swipe or proximity cards, control and monitor the internal movements of personnel too. Used in conjunction with Windows-compatible communications software, such systems can enable a company to centrally administer access privileges over many different locations almost instantaneously.
Secure It All access control systems permit access to be managed in a series of hierarchical layers throughout an organisation and are, importantly, simple both to operate and to reconfigure, allowing for quick and easy accommodation of any personnel changes.
DDA
From October 2004, compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act is a legal requirement. All older systems should be upgraded to comply. We would design DDA compliant systems to ensure you are not open to a legal challenge and a fine.
The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) introduced new measures aimed at ending the discrimination which many disabled people face. In addition to granting new rights to disabled people, the Act also places duties on employers (Part 2), providers of goods, facilities and services (Part 3) and education providers (Part 4).
The DDA defines a disabled person as 'someone who has a physical or mental impairment which has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on his or her ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities'.
The new regulations call for an inclusive approach that means buildings and their facilities should be accessible and usable by all people who are allowed to use them.
Every day, parents with children, elderly and disabled people are denied access to a wide range of goods, facilities and services. Controlled entrances can prove an impossible barrier, a standard door entry system can be difficult to use for hearing or visually impaired people.
We are able to offer a range of vandal resistant 'DDA' entry panels incorporating:
Large illuminated tactile (embossed) and/or Braille buttons.
A 'Speak Now' red LED to indicate when to speak to those with a hearing impairment.
A 'Door Open' green LED to indicate lock release/door opening to those with a hearing impairment.
Audible tone to indicate lock release/door opening to those with a visual impairment.
Tactile (embossed) and/or Braille signs for those with a visual impairment - traditional panel engraving is of no assistance to blind and some visually impaired people.
Double height panels to accommodate wheelchair users.
