Think like a burglar

Burglars are quick to sense if a house has been unoccupied for days. There are telltale signs – it’s perpetually dark inside, for example. It’s a good idea to leave some of the lights on and ask a trusted neighbour to keep a close watch. Better still, ask someone to stay over while you're away.

This week two of our engineers have been installing a Fire Alarm System for an existing customer in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands. Fire Alarm Systems are very specialist as they have to conform to high levels of health and safety standards we are proud of our expertise in this area. If you have a requirement for any of the systems we install, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access or a Fire Alarm, in the West Midlands, Hereford, Worcestershire, please discuss your requirements with us

Here are pictures of some of the fire alarm equipment we have installed:

This particular customer has been with us since 2003 when we installed their Police Calling Intruder Alarm system. Many of our domestic and commercial customers have a variety of services from us including intruder, fire, CCTV and access control.

Protect your business premises with an Intruder Alarm

According to the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) from 2015, it was estimated that there were around 750,000 of domestic burglary incidents, and whilst rates have decreased over the past few years this is still an alarmingly high number of burglaries. Many more people are now realising the benefits of investing in an intruder alarm for their premises, be it commercial, domestic or residential. There are so many options out there to choose from depending on your requirements and at Secure It All, we have the knowledge and experience to make sure that you find the best option for your premises. Your security is our business.

During the traditional holiday period things never slow down for us. Whether it’s domestic customers wanting to make sure their annual service is done before they go away or those doing a spot of DIY and needing our help to move or temporarily disconnect their intruder alarm, we are always very busy at this time of year.

This week one of our customers in Halesowen had been painting the outside of their house and whilst their bell box was still working, they decided that they would like to replace the one they had fitted 23 years ago with a nice new one to go with the face lift the house was having – what a difference it made!

This is what our current intruder alarm bell box looks like:

It’s a relatively inexpensive way to improve the outside of your premises and lets potential burglars know you have a security alarm system fitted and are on top of your security at the same time.

This week we have been finalising a fascinating project at a Business Park in Bedford. We have installed an extensive CCTV system that covers the site, approximately 100, 000 square feet, which was once the Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE), an aeronautical research organisation overseen by the UK Ministry of Defence, between 1946 and 1957.

The site is of great historical importance – you can read all about it here.

These days it is home to, amongst others, Red Bull Racing’s research and Twinswood Adventure where you can indoor skydive in the refurbished wind tunnel!

As well as being a NSI Gold certified security installer, we also take great pride in maintaining installations for our customers.

Keith has been with us for over 20 years and is a familiar face to many of our customers as he services their systems on a regular basis.

This week, Keith serviced a domestic alarm system that he originally installed for us in Halesowen back in 1994. He has also been in Coventry servicing one of our commercial companies that has both a police response intruder alarm system signalling on a Webway, and an access control system that we installed in 2012.

Whilst many of our customers are still benefiting from systems we installed many years ago, some people like to update their alarm from time to time to benefit from new technology, particularly our Wi Fi systems, which are very popular. Owain, our Sales Manager, has been speaking to a number of people this week who want to do just that.

Our other engineers have been finalising a huge CCTV project this week – more about this next time.
